• Question: Does your work involve travelling to different countries?

      yes – lots. But only for conferences, workshops and scientific meetings. The actual science is done on a computer from my office!

      I was lucky enough to go on a two-month flight trial in America last year 🙂 We sometimes have certain conditions that we need to test aircraft under that we can’t get here in the UK. For example, we sometimes need to test helicopters doing dust landings but we don’t have enough dust over here. Or places extremely hot or cold.

    Things are the same for me, I travel for conferences but still work from my office. A conference is basically a big meeting between scientists from all around the world sometimes who share there work with the aim to find people to work in collaboration with.
