• Question: how long could a person last for with no food or water?

      @King holly well you can go for a long time without food – maybe a couple of months – but it won’t be pleasant. Water is a different matter. It becomes very unpleasant quite quickly when you are thirsty, and you are unlikely to survive more than a few days. But if you are in very hot conditions, or exerting yourself, it could be only a matter of hours.

      I think Gandhi actually survived for 3 weeks of complete starvation just having sips of water, but I think the general consensus is around two months. But because so much of our body is made of water it’s pretty crucial to our survival!
