• Question: how many different pesticides have been made and used on our food everyday

      @shannon the salmon I think there are about a thousand different pesticides, of which a few hundred are used in the UK and about a hundred are regularly tested. The ones that aren’t tested are thought to be harmless.

      I think this also depends on what food you’re getting and where you get it from, though most farmers do use pesticides. (As far as I know, organic food doesn’t actually use less pesticide, since at least in the US, the term isn’t regulated by the government.)
