      The four fundamental forces (gravity, electromagnetism, and the strong and weak nuclear forces) have been around since the beginning of the universe!

      The first force that anyone really figured out in detail was gravity, and it was Isaac Newton who discovered the mathematical laws. He did this by studying the motion of the planets and trying to figure out what kept the Solar System together.
