      @shannon the salmon The light coming from the sun is actually made up of lots of different colours. When this light reaches our atmosphere, molecules in the atmosphere scatter the light (make it change direction). It turns out the the particular molecules in our atmosphere (oxygen and nitrogen) scatter blue light more than the other colours, so we see a blue sky.
