      Yes – part of my job is to make sure lasers don’t harm us while we’re doing testing. The biggie is a hazard to our eyes. Certain frequencies of laser can penetrate through to our retina and cause permanent blindness.

      Lasers can also cause skin burns, cataracts in later life, and can cause stuff like fuel vapour to set on fire. Potentially very dangerous!
