      Almost certainly – there is thought to be a fifth force, which has been shown theoretically but never observed. Something else fundamental must exist to account for the 95% of “missing mass’ in the “Dark Universe”. i.e. 95% of the energy in the universe cannot be observed, but it must be there because it’s affect on galaxies is observed…. weird yes??!!

      Definitely! In addition to the ones mentioned by Lidunka, there’s huge search on for evidence of supersymmetry, the controversial theory that every particle has a mirror-image partner particle. The Large Hadron Collider in Geneva is leading the search for evidence for this.

      That’s just for starters, though – there are probably all kinds of amazing new things out there we haven’t even thought about looking for yet!
