• Question: Did you always want to be a scientist?

      Yes I think so – although as I have aged I have discovered that there is much enjoyment to be found from all knowledge, not just scientific!

      I always liked science, but I wasn’t always sure I wanted to go be a scientist. I don’t think I really thought about it until much later, which is sort of a luxury of the U.S. education system.

      Ever since I was a teenager, yes! I just loved thinking about things and always wanted to know how the world worked – science seemed like the best way to get answers!

      Not always, I went through several different ideas, but I guess they did always involve science or maths. I thought about being a vet, a binman (ok, when I was pretty young), a spy, a marine biologist, a therapist, a swimmer, a translator, an actress. None of them happened, but I can still pursue some of them as hobbies instead 🙂
