• Question: Do you think we will be able to swim in lava in the future?

      @teedleweed haven’t we had this already? but in any case, lava is far too hot and the gases too toxic. So no!

      I admire your tenacity on the lava-swimming idea 🙂 It’s really hard to protect against molten rock – and even if you could, the second the lava starts to cool it would cool into actual rock and freeze you in place, which wouldn’t be that good for your swimming efforts!

      Lava is also quite thick – even if wasn’t molten hot, it would be like swimming through syrup or really thick custard, so it would be really hard to move in it!
