Question: How far away, do you think, we are from holograms?

Assuming you mean 3D holograms like the kind you see in science fiction, I think we’re probably pretty close! Limited, simpler versions of holograms already exist so I’d like to think the sci-fi types will become real within our lifetimes.

Holography is a very general technique though, and 2D (e.g. flat) holograms exist all over the place, like on credit cards, passports and some bank notes!
