Well if a huge meteorite hit us it wouldn’t matter what I did as we would all suffer! It is highly unlikely though, and I suspect there are various strategies in place to deflect it if it comes anywhere near us.

Well, unless we have a solid space program (more advanced than the one we have now) the only place to hide would be away from the meteor, and if it’s big enough even that wouldn’t matter. I would be helping talk to people about what the meteor could do, and hoping that we had built a good enough space robot to help us avoid damage!

If it was possible to hide, I’d totally hide. If it was possible to help, I’d totally help! However I feel like if that ever happens, I probably won’t be able to do either. Hopefully we’ll have time to see it coming and go and blow it up before it hits us!

I’d try to help out any way I could, but it’d be a tough challenge! We don’t (yet) have any real capability of deflecting any huge meteorites, so we’d need all hands on deck and everyone would have to help out in finding a solution.

The good news is that there are plenty of people watching the sky for meteorites, so we’d probably know in plenty of time if anything was coming our way!
