I love books, but I think in the future it will be more efficient and much less wasteful to use computers and e-readers for most things. It would be cheaper too, since there would be no need to print things onto heavy paper books and post them around the world to people.

I think there will always be a place for books, but we’ll probably use them less and less in the future.

@_Poppy_tgs Oh I really hope there will always be books. Books allow you to see things slightly differently to computers. On a computer you do have pages and screens etc., but in books you can “feel” the words and pictures, and you can flick much more easily between pages. That said, there is certainly a place for computers, as you can have video content and constant updates, links to other resources and you can send useful information between each other.

I think a lot of it will be computers, and people are growing up using computers more and more. I mean, even books are being replaced by e-Readers such as the Kindle! I like books, but I like computers too. I listen to audiobooks more than I read nowadays, because I spend more time driving around in my car than I do sitting still!

Well, if you consider that e-books and physical books are sort of the same thing, but in a different format, I think we’ll always have science books, it just might be that we cut down fewer trees in order to print the books! It’ll certainly save on student back pain if you don’t have to carry a ton of textbooks around! 🙂
