• Question: In your opinion why should we study science as a race? Do you think we should explore more or do you think we can reach a stage where trying to discover more about science would be impractical and not worth it?

@Ryan and Ollie We should never stop exploring, never stop learning, never stop discovering. There is no telling where it will all lead.

Science is important to understand the universe and our place in it. With a quickly growing population, we need more technologies and better medicine to enable everyone to have a high quality of life.

I think science will always be worthwhile – the pursuit of knowledge is an honourable profession, and even the most arcane and seemingly useless bits of mathematics (for example) have ended up contributing to our daily lives in surprisingly vital ways. We never know what we’ll find when we do science, but sometimes we find things that change the world – and that’s why we should keep doing it!
