@Ananya well apart from the obvious – the internet – a really great idea is to watch some of those spectacular TV series like Wonders of the Universe, and anything by David Attenborough, and also the Horizon programs. There are some great TV shows and DVDs around. You could use the internet to look at the reviews of some of them to see which are rated really highly. You could also go to the library or book shop and look in the science section under “popular science” – there are some amazing books aimed at everybody. And, depending on what you are interested in, universities run taster courses for school-age children, and there are a lot of talks and events run all over the UK. Going to your local science or natural history museum would be a great place to start, and you could also get a science set or telescope or chemistry set or whatever – they can be really good value!

There are also loads of talks you can go to. I’m subscribed to the Institute of Physics mailing list, and the Royal Aeronautical Society, and both of those run regular talks that you can just go to. Usually there’s free tea and biscuits too! There are also competitions like this one, but in person, where you can listen to people talking about science.
