• Question: sometimes i make volcanoes to see how they work.... what is real lava

      @Ananya Real lava is molten rock. Near the Earth’s surface, the composition and conditions are such that in some places rock will melt and get squeezed up through channels out of volcanoes.

      Lava is just superheated rock that’s flowing on the surface. If it’s below the surface it’s magma! I hope that your volcano-building has been instructive!
