• Question: what is the meaning of science?

      @HermioneBat that’s a very deep question! For me, the meaning of science is exploration, understanding, knowledge, curiosity-driven research. Discovery.

      Science is all about asking “Why?”, trying to figure out an answer, and then trying to prove yourself wrong. The last step is important – it’s not enough just to have a good idea, you’ve got to prove that yours is the correct idea and that it stands up to all the tests and trials you can throw at it.

      To me, science is the best way of understanding the universe and our place in it, and that’s why I do science for a living.

      To me, science is the pursuit of knowledge and understanding. We strive to understand the world around us, and how we fit into it as humans, and how we influence the world around us through our actions.
