• Question: Will I ever be able to record my brain like I can record a programme on television?

      Hmm, that’s an interesting one! At the moment, no, but in the future it might be possible. The brain is an incredibly complicated object, and at the moment we don’t understand how it works well enough to record from it in the way you suggest.

      Lots of people are working on it understanding how the brain works though, so maybe one day they’ll figure it out!

      @14PearsonV This sounds like a great idea! But as Steven says, the brain is about the last thing in the human body to be fully understood, and until that happens we won’t be pressing “play” at home anytime soon.

      We’re starting to be able to record images that the brain is seeing, so it’s possible in the future you might be able to record your dreams!
